When things feel tough or scary there’s nothing better than having someone to lean on.

Even if they’re as scared as you, you can at least lean on each other and share the burden; facing the world as a team makes everything seem a bit brighter.

And that’s exactly what these two tiny kittens did when they found themselves all alone in the world with nothing but each other to cling to.

Rescuers found Bane and Ines living all alone on the street, without even a mother to offer them some care and protection.

The tiny kittens clung to each other, desperate to never lose their one security in life: each other.

The rescuers brought the weak, emaciated kittens to Chatons Orphelins Montreal so they could receive some well-needed medical attention.

The kittens were only five weeks old and riddled with fleas and other parasites. They’d suffered a lot of hardship in their mere five weeks of life, but that was finally changing.

The effort to nurse the kittens back to health proved successful and the kittens grew stronger and healthier with every passing day.

They received a foster home and revealed themselves to be happy, affectionate cats who soon warmed up to other cats and humans alike.

Though they made many new friends, no relationship ever came close to matching the bond between Bane and Ines themselves.

Even in their new, happy life they never wanted to be apart from each other.

They were irrevocably bound together.

As a result of their beautiful bond, Ines and Bane were eventually adopted as a pair and got to live happily together in their forever home.

By holding on to each other during the dark times, the sweet pair managed to make it out the other end and finally got to share the experience of true happiness, comfort and safety.
