Todd Antony is a commercial photographer based in London, and as the most part of photographers he is often involved in the creation of personal series.
During his stay in Arizona he discovered “The Sun City Poms”, a group of cheerleaders and dancers based in the small town of Sun City who despite their age continue to dance with the grace of little girls.
“While I was there I couldn’t help but think that with the American obsession for child beauty pageants, you have one age group of society trying to grow up way too fast, while at the other end of the age scale another group strives to hold back the years in some way. And does a pretty damn good job of it really…” Todd says about this series on his blog.
