Have you ever accidentally swallowed seawater before? I guess you thought that nasty flavor was just given by the salt of the sea, right? Well, it wasn’t.
The picture below, taken by photographer David Littschwager, shows a single drop of seawater magnified 25 times.
As you can see, in just one drop of seawater lives an entire ecosystem: crab larva, diatoms, fish eggs, bacterias, worms and zooplankton.
My mind is blown right now, but I still can’t help thinking about all the crab larvas and fish eggs I swallowed while learning how to swim!
