Nyan Nyan Ji in Japan is every cat lover’s dream. Its name translates to “Meow Meow Temple” and it’s exactly what it sounds like, it’s a temple filled with cats!
The temple is located in Kyoto and is home to seven cats. The cat monk is named Koyuki and she’s a third-generation monk.
People come to the temple to play with Koyuki and her assistants and to enjoy the cat-themed food and art that’s on offer. The temple has its own little café and the temple is filled with feline art.
In an interview with Bored Panda, Koyuki’s owner revealed that the creator of the cat temple was the painter Toru Kaya, who was inspired by his favourite cat.
You can tell that the temple is the brainchild of an artist because it is absolutely beautiful and it should be at the top of every cat lover’s bucket list.
