Among all the niches in photography, being a war photographer is without any doubt the most dangerous, and despite this the competition between professionals isn’t any less fierce.
Washington-based photographer Kainoa Little documented the battles that took place in Mosul in April 2017 between Islamic State militants and the Iraqi Federal Police who tried to free the city.
Kainoa took striking photos of the battles and touching images of the refugees escaping from the fire, but despite the quality of his work the competition was so hard he didn’t manage to sell his pictures, so he decided to upload them for free on Imgur.
Scroll down to see his amazing imagery, and take a look at his website to see more of his work, both from Mosul and other conflict zones.
