Did you ever wonder what actually happened after the classic “and they lived happily ever after” is said at the end of each and every fairy tale?
Award winning photographer Dina Goldstein tried to answer this curiosity with her photo series Fallen Princesses, and it turned out that reality is not really like a fairy tale.
Dina imagined the most appropriate and tragically realistic scenario for some of the most popular princesses of fairy tales, trying to keep it consistent with the plot of their story:
“I began to imagine Disney’s perfect Princesses juxtaposed with real issues that were affecting women around me, such as illness, addiction and self-image issues,” she says “With limited funds, I began to assemble my series.”
We’ve loved the irony Dina used creating this photo series. What do you think about these photos? Tell us in the comments.
