Ikiru, a sweet little exotic shorthair, has perfected the art of the “blep”.
The term “blep”, if you’re unfamiliar, refers to when an animal keeps a little part of their tongue sticking out of their mouth. A cute name for a cute occurrence!
And this little blep-master is letting his tongue poke out 24/7.
In an interview with Bored Panda, Ikiru’s parents, Rich and Emma, said that though Ikiru can look a bit weird, he is perfectly healthy. He simply enjoys letting his tongue hang out!
Sticking his tongue out gives the kitty and adorably dopey look. That goofy expression was what convinced Rick and Emma to make him a part of their family when he was a little kitten, and it’s what’s been making him famous on Instagram.
Ikiru’s got over 74,000 followers on Instagram who are all swooning over his pudgy little face and goofy expressions.
When he pulls a particularly funny face it’s almost impossible not to laugh. Ikiru is spreading joy to thousands of people and Rich and Emma often get messages from people who’ve been touched by Ikiru’s sweet face.
