The photos of this post might just be the ultimate fulfillment of every cat lady’s dream, Australian firefighters posing with cats for a calendar shoot.
We know, you’re here mainly for the cats, but we would definitely agree if you think that Australian firefighters make great backgrounds for our precious darlings. Kidding aside though, the main purpose behind this iconic calendar is to support animal charities around the world.
Starting 1993, firefighters from Australia’s Urban, Rural, Aviation, Armed Forces and Corporate fire-fighting services came together to create one of the world’s most iconic calendar. However, it was just last year that they decided to make a cat calendar for 2018, after their Facebook post featuring Australian firefighters with kittens went viral. For 2019 things got even bigger, and they invited some of the hottest firefighters from around the world to the Australian Gold Coast for the making of the very first “International Firefighters Calendar”.
“We are very excited to start working with local Australian and international animal shelters. We felt it was important to use the calendars’ social media presence to shine a light on the incredible work they al do. Even a small donation to these organizations can make an enormous difference and we look forward to expanding our support to these charities”, said David Rogers, Director of the Australian Firefighters Calendar.
The Australian Firefighters Calendars has donated more than 2.8 millions of dollars to animal charities around Australia, and the most part, 1.7 million dollars, has been donated in the past 4 years alone.

So, if you love cats, love firefighters, or just need a calendar and want to support animal charities, you can get this iconic calendar on the Australian Firefighters’ website. Scroll down for some previews.
