Can the internet get enough of cats? Guess not.
From cat memes to a flying poptart cat that poops rainbows on Youtube, people just can’t get enough of them. They can do anything, except fight crime. But it’d be awesome to have a feline kung-fu master kicking bad guys and eating fish under your service. Which leads us to the useless yet essential question: what if ninja cats were real?
This was the burning question Japanese photographer Hisakata Hiroyuki wanted to answer, and surprisingly, turn into his quirky passion project. Sadly, he couldn’t find any ninja cats to boss around.
In a difficult yet awesome artistic process, he shutter-captures pictures of cats leaping in midair and chooses the ones that look like they’re fighting with catnip stealers. We can imagine just how much time and patience you have to have just to pull this sort of thing off, and that’s what makes this project awesome. Plus, we bet his cats make awesome icebreakers at parties.
