Just like it happens for humans, being pregnant involves very important changes to an animal’s body and appearance. Their size is obviously not big enough to conceal the new life that is growing into them, and when they are at an advanced stage of pregnancy they start to look a bit different than how we are used to see them.

It’s so amazing to think how even the smallest animal is able to change its physiognomy in order to create a whole new life.
