It’s amazing how life can change in a matter of seconds, giving you the chance to get a revenge on everyone who made you cry. This is exactly what happened to Khoudia Diop, a Senegalese Paris-based fashion model who recently became an internet sensation thanks to her incredibly dark skin tone. Skin tone that was also the reason why she was bullied and teased a lot in the past.
“I was teased a lot growing up, because of my skin tone, and now even online sometimes, people will make comments. Growing up, I faced it by confronting the bullies. As I grew, I learned to love myself more every day, and not pay attention to the negative people” she told the Daily Mail in a recent interview.
Khoudia started modeling two years ago, when she was 17, and has gathered a following of 300k people on Instagram since then.
“If you’re lucky enough to be different, don’t ever change” she uses to say, and this is the best way to inspire everyone who feels different to be proud of themselves, because people who are “different” are the ones that end up making a difference in the world.
