Graphic artist and illustrator Mica Angela Hendricks was working on her new sketchbook when her daughter Myla asked a question that changed everything: “Can I draw in that too, Mama?”
As a professional, Mica wasn’t that happy to let her 4-year-old scribble all over her work, so she tried to convince her daughter that it really wasn’t a good idea.
Myla answered in a way that left Hendricks without words “If you can’t share, we might have to take it away.”
Totally surprised, Mica agreed to let her little daughter finish one of her sketches. Myla grabbed a pen and started drawing a body on one of the subjects of the drawings.
The result was amazing and funny at the same time, and Mica was so in love with the outcome that she let her daughter draw on more sketches in the following days.
This unusual collaboration led to the creation of a beautiful series of illustrations and the publication of a book named “Share with me” and funded through Kickstarter.
