Being a woman comes with many rewarding and wonderful things and opportunities. However, in our society, it also comes with some unfair disadvantages. To all the ladies out there, I’m sure you’ve experienced this one way or another, whether you recognized it or not. Lower paychecks, less opportunities, condescension, it’s bad. Some may say otherwise, but there are many real things that men do to “assert” superiority. One of these is mansplaining. This word was originally coined after Rebecca Solnit wrote the 2008 essay “Men Explain Things to Me”, and it it’s going viral now that women from all over the word are sharing cringeworthy experiences of men explaining the most obvious things to them.

And a lot of women spoke up!

Turns out, men even mansplain about things they don’t even experience, like childbirth

and breastfeeding

and birthcontrol

and menopause. Yikes!

Even someone else’s name!

A lesson on Marxism

And education leadership…

The list doesn’t end there!

Even to a seasoned librarian about library cards!

And a motorcycle, which he has never ridden!

Citing very reliable sources of course

It seems like there is no end to these mansplaination possibilities
