It was the center of the world just 2 months ago. I almost can’t believe how Sochi looks today!

It was February 7 of this year, not even 3 months ago, when the whole world was looking to Sochi with curiosity for the opening ceremony of the XXII Winter Olympics.
For 15 days this small Russian city overlooking the Black Sea has literally been the center of the world, with 2,873 athletes competing to win the coveted gold medals.

But what remains of Sochi just 2 months after the closing ceremony of the Olympics?
You can find the answer in the following pictures, shot by Alexander Valov of blogsochi.ru. The area of Sochi that hosted the Olympics is now almost a ghost town, with an empty Olympic village and an amusement park that will probably never be completed.
All you can see now are empty streets and abandoned buildings, so sad for a place that this winter has been the center of the world for two weeks.
