Every Sunday this hairdresser does something awesome, because “every human life is worth the same”

Mark Bustos is a hair stylist at a popular salon in New York City, but this has just little to do with what he does every week on his only day off from work.

Every Sunday he walks around the city looking for homeless who’d appreciate a free haircut, usually approaching them with the phrase “I want to do something nice for you today”.

Even if Sunday is the only day off of the week, Bustos takes the time to provide up to six free cuts to people in need around New York City, stopping by and talking to them, learning about their lives and their stories.
It all began back in 2012, when Mark traveled to the Philippines to visit some family members, where he rented a chair at a barbershop to provide some free cuts to the less fortunate children.

“Every human life is worth the same” is the motto that keeps Mark going on with this practice, and we can’t help admiring this guy who spends his free time using his skills to help other people in need.

Mark shares his Sunday cuts with his 210,000 Instagram followers, using the #BeAwesomeToSomebody hashtag on every image.
If you want to see more of his awesome work, make sure to follow Mark on Instagram.
