Man Takes Selfie With Cute Quokka, And She Won’t Leave Him Alone

When he decided to bike around Rottnest Island with his girlfriend, we bet Campbell Jones from Landsdale never expected to bond with the happiest animal on earth, the quokka. Quokkas are a type of small wallaby indigenous in Rottnest Island. They are nocturnal creatures, so it was a pleasant surprise for Jones to encounter one during the day. Having spotted one, he stepped off his bike and took a selfie. When he got up to leave, the enthusiastic little quokka wouldn’t let him. According to Jones, “I put down the GoPro and it jumped at me as if to say ‘come back.’” He was able to snap the cutest photo of it that now has 20,000 likes on Instagram.

Then this adorable little creature showed up! Quokkas are easily sighted in Rottnest Island but they are nocturnal, preferring to rest during the day. It was a pleasant surprise to spot one on their bike trail!
