After dropping a first teaser last November, Disney released the first official trailer for their “The Lion King” remake.
The movie will hit theaters on July 19, 2019, and according to the images we see in the trailer, those who loved the original version, that dates back to 1994, probably won’t be disappointed.
Directed by Jon Favreau, the 2019 version makes use of all the latest CGI technologies, giving an almost photorealistic look to its characters.
Some purists will definitely turn up their nose, but as long-time fan of everything about The Lion King, we frankly can’t wait for this remake to be released. Take a look at some images and the full trailer below.
After a 25-year wait, Simba, Nala, and all the characters we loved in “The Lion King” are coming back.
The remake, directed by Jon Favreau, will feature Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.
