Just like every April, here we are announcing the A’ Design Award & Competition winners.
This year the competition has been incredibly close, with the awards being assigned to 836 winners from 83 countries in 89 different design categories.
These are the incredible numbers of the world’s largest and most prestigious design contest, one of the few accolades bringing designers, architects, artists, brands and companies from across the globe under the same roof.
On April 18 a gala night for all the winners will be held in Lake Como, Italy, with the laureates will be called on stage to collect their A’ Design Prize (an exclusive A’ Design Awards winners’ kit that includes a long series of benefits to boost your career in your creative niche, such as the 3D Printed Metal A’ Design Award trophy in Black Luxury Box, printed design excellence certificate in metal frame, award winners manual, PR and marketing services, press release preparation and distribution, public relations campaign for winners and much more), certificates and yearbooks. The same day, in parallel with the Milan design Week, the A’ Design Awards will open an exhibition at “MOOD – Museum of Outstanding Design” Ex Chiesa di San Francesco, Como, Italy, to showcase the winning designs in a stunning 750 sq. mt. location.
In addition to that, 2014-2015 A’ Design Award winners will get their award winning work physically exhibited in Ireland, the World Design Hub 2015, Italy and Holland.
Years after years the number and the quality of the designs drastically improves, and it takes a jury panel made of 70 internationally influential people (established academics, prominent press members, creative design professionals and entrepreneurs) to vote the best concepts.
The A’ Design Award and Competition 2014-2015 Edition was further endorsed by ICSID -International Council of Societies of Industrial Design, IFI – The International Federation of Interior Architects and Designers and ICOGRADA – International Council of Communication Design which imposed several additional criteria during evaluation and voting, including a new normalized score mechanism which considered the juror votes not by their arithmetic average but rather by their standard deviation.
