888,246 Poppies Pour Like A River Of Blood From The Tower Of London To Commemorate WWI

Share this post on FB:

This year London marks Britain’s involvement in WWI centennial with an incredible installation of 888,245 red ceramic flowers pouring out from the Tower of London like a river of blood.

Every single flower represents a British fallen soldier during WWI. The installation, contrived by ceramic artist Paul Cummins and stage designer Tom Piper is not yet completed, as volunteers began placing the flowers weeks ago and will continue the creation of this incredible river of red ceramic flowers until November 11th, when the last flower will be finally placed.
If you’re interested, you can read more about the project on the Historic Royal Palaces website.
