On an unusually hot day in northern Mexico, Adolfo Pazzi Ahumada realized he needed to visit his local market. So, he went out into the 104°F (40°C) weather.

Typically, with the current heatwave, citizens opt to stay at home because they are worried about overheating. Unfortunately, the homeless and animals have no choice but to face sun exposure and its damages.

When Ahumada got to the convenience store, he saw a store clerk giving some water to drink to a poor stray dog, before letting him into the store.

Ahumada later learned that the dog had been wandering outside the store for several days, and they assumed the dog had been abandoned by its owner.

The employees opened the store’s doors to to the homeless pup to save him from the heat wave and gave him water, food and some toys to play with, hoping that one of their customers would meet the calm-natured, playful dog and adopt him.

Sadly, Ahumada could not adopt the dog, so he decided to purchase some treats for him to eat after his nap.

When Adolfo Pazzi Ahumada went to a convenience store to buy some milk, he witnessed a touching gesture. First, the store clerk fed and let a stray dog drink water. Then, he allowed the stray to rest inside the store so that the dog could avoid being exposed to the sun during a heat wave.

Ahumada was glad that someone showed the stray dog some kindness. He even got the dog some treats while he was buying his milk.
