Jono Lancaster was abandoned when he was a baby.
Right after he was born his parents were told he had Treacher Collins syndrome, a genetic disorder that affected the way his facial bones developed while he was in his mother’s womb, so they gave him up for adoption.
When he was a teenager other boys bullied him, but life had reserved something great for him.
That same baby is now a 31-year-old man with a loving family, a regular job and a girlfriend, and is now the inspiration for people with Treacher Collins syndrome around the globe.
This is what a hero looks like. The world needs people like Jono.
