The everyday life of an elderly superhero imagined by artist Andreas Englund

Andreas Englund is a Stockholm based artist mostly recognized for his photo realistic and humoristic oil paintings depicting the everyday troubles of an anonymous superhero.

From the classic fights (and the subsequent pant) to the grimaces after eating a bad tasting clementine, this series will unveil all the human sides of an old man whose body is not always able to keep up with his superhero life.

This set of paintings is visually impressive and caught our attention with its subtle irony. We personally would love to have one of Andreas’ works on display at home.

If you’re interested, all of the paintings featured in this post are available on his site as limited edition prints: andreasenglund.com.
