This sweet kitten’s arrival into her family sounds like something straight out of a fairy-tale; like a little Thumbelina, Polly was found in a tree stump with no sign of her mother.

Polly’s pet-mom, Morgan, found Polly after hearing soft meows coming from somewhere on her farm.

When she realized that there was a kitten in need somewhere, she started searching for her.

However, due to the thick vegetation on the farm, and Polly’s unusual hiding place, she initially had trouble finding her.

Luckily, one of her cat’s was happy to help.

After searching for a long time to no avail, Morgan decided to bring out one of her cats.

The clever kitty soon found Polly curled up in the stump, and Morgan was able to bring the kitty to safety.

Before bringing her in, Morgan waited a few hours to see if Polly’s mom would come back, but when hours passed and nobody came, Morgan knew she had to take her inside.

“When it got dark we got nervous about her because we live on a farm where foxes come around a lot,” Morgan told Love Meow.

Polly was immediately made to feel part of the family – not least by Morgan’s dog Paxton.

Paxton, or “Pax” for short, was very considerate of Polly’s needs.

He let the scared and confused little kitty cuddle up to him, and she immediately seemed to feel safer and more relaxed.

Morgan noticed that poor Polly was infested with fleas, so she gave her a bath and helped her get rid of them.

Polly found the bath scary and meowed sadly, which made Pax want to comfort and protect her.

He came and kept Polly company while she got cleaned up and gave her some well-needed love and support.

After that, Polly and Pax were bonded forever.

Now, Polly follows Pax around the house like his little sidekick, and Pax is always ready to play and cuddle with her.

For a long time, Pax would help Morgan with Polly’s meals.

Polly was so little that she needed to be bottle-fed, and Pax would lovingly lick the little kitten clean after her messy meals.

Now, Polly is 5 months old and big enough to clean herself, but she’s still got a lot left to learn from Pax who has already entered his senior years.

Morgan revealed to Love Meow that the pair are so close that Polly has even learned to make a little barking sound!

The love Polly and Pax share is strong and pure and is heartwarming to behold.

Thanks to Pax, Polly has been able to go from being a small, scared kitten and grow into the brave, playful, beautiful cat she is today.

They show us that family is more than blood and that some souls are just meant to be together.

We’re so happy that they have found each other and that they are experiencing so much love and happiness as a result.
