Derby is a dog born with underdeveloped front legs.
Running for him was almost impossible, and he often got injuries from scratching the ground with his face.

A common wheelchair improved his situation, but limited his speed and his ability to interact with other dogs.
Derby’s best chance to live a normal life and run for the first time ever came from Peace and Paws, the no-kill shelter that saved him from being euthanized, and a pair of new generation 3D printed prosthetic legs.

He is still in the process of learning how to use his new legs, that will be gradually substituted with bigger ones.

Derby now runs 2 to 3 miles a day with his humans, and as you can see from the video, he looks totally happy with his new legs.
