Ever wonder what actually goes on in the human mind under LSD? Apparently, the US government during the 1950’s did. They did a substantial amount of tests on psychotomimetic drugs, and one of these was a test on the effect of LSD on human subjects. Oscar Janiger, a University of California-Irvine psychiatrist, gave controlled quantities of LSD to an artist and asked him to draw the same portrait nine times while under the influence. The artist’s outputs give us an interesting sneak peek of its effects on the brain. Check out his drawings below.
